Heritage Envoy Empowerment Program for the Global Goal Agenda

Through the AKHEGGA platform, the Festival empowers 3,100 Heritage Envoys—100 from each of the state’s local government areas—to champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These youth and women ambassadors amplify Akwa Ibom’s cultural voice on global platforms, advocating for climate action, gender equity, peacebuilding, and sustainable livelihoods. By connecting heritage leadership with global goals, the Festival ensures that Akwa Ibom’s youth are both local custodians and global citizens, linking grassroots realities to international commitments.
